Hybrid intelligence approach for multi-load level reactive power planning using VAR compensator in power transmission network

Abstract This paper formulates and solves a techno-economic planning problem of reactive power (VAR) in transmission systems under loadings. The objective the proposed research work is to minimize combination installation cost sources, losses operational while satisfying technical constraints. Initially, positions for placement sources are determined technically. Different components such as VAR generation cost, line charging etc. then added total operating most economical way. Finally, optimal parameter setting subjected (RPP) obtained by taking advantages hybrid soft computing techniques. For justification efficiency efficacy approach entire simulated on two inter-regional networks. To validate robustness ease techniques RPP responses benchmark functions statistical proof provided simultaneously.
